Ishida IW Series Waterproof Platform Scale
When the weighing station gets hosed down at the end of every shift, you need a scale that can take it. The Ishida IW Series is a waterproof digital platform scale, also called a washdown floor scale, with a stainless steel body and an IP-67 rating for the scale. It is made for wet, messy work in food processing, from agriculture and fisheries to wholesale and retail.
The IW Series comes in three styles that share the same waterproof stainless steel platform. The IWX has a large, bright fluorescent display for AC-powered stations. The IWB runs on two D-size batteries or an AC adapter, so it can move to wherever the work is. The IWQ adds three display windows and a numeric keypad for checkweighing and counting.
Grocery meat, seafood, and produce departments, commissary kitchens, and food processors use this kind of scale for receiving, portioning, and checking pack weights in areas that need regular washdown. Ishida coats the load cell in acrylic resin so the weighing unit can be washed and sprayed with water for easy cleaning and sanitation.
